Jonathan Emile founded MPL Records in 2005 while battling cancer. The experience allowed him to grow creatively and spiritually while finishing his treatment. The philosophy he refined during this period was Mindpeacelove. MPL records now stands as label that follows a philosophy in its creative direction, marketing direction and business ethics. This philosophy combines intelligent art, exciting accessible product and humanitarian responsibility. In 2008, long time friend and entrepreneur Nicholas Tsoukas joined the team to develop business & marketing strategies. The two focused their passions to propel the listenership to include millions worldwide.

As an artist Jonathan Emile through MPL Records has emerged as a pioneer and leader in the new era of North American Hip-Hop appearing locally and nationally on Radio, News & T.V.. Mindpeacelove has become a creative powerhouse in the Montreal Urban music scene by taking its brand beyond the city and exposing the world to its soulful Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae and Electronic music. In 2009, Mindpeacelove secured a distribution agreement with Bongobeat Records to include distribution in United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany & Holland in stores and online through iTunes & Amazon.
